A Dutch impersonator has set Theresa May’s Withdrawal Agreement woes to the tune of ‘Rehab’ by Amy Winehouse, while dressed as the prime minister in Parliament Square.
Menno Kuijper, 42, who lives in Brixton, told Metro.co.uk: ‘I’m Dutch. I have lived and worked here for 22 years. I have paid my taxes and hopefully made my country a better place.
‘But I wasn’t allowed to vote. I thought, “Well, what can I do? I can make a video.”
He had an outfit already from when he went as ‘the Brexorcist’ for Halloween and ‘bludgeoned everyone with my Chequers plan.’
So he took it out to central London to film his video.
Menno, who also wore his prime minister costume to the march urging a second referendum on Saturday, said: ‘She keeps going back to Brussels and they keep saying no. It’s like Amy Winehouse.’
I don’t understand why she keeps trying to push it through and push it through, or why she was so trigger-happy with Article 50,’ he said.
